Remember terms of Semiotics:

Signifier is the external shape of a a sign and signified is the mental image/the multiple meanings that might correspond to it.

A cover magazine can have many signifiers (visuals/texts)

but the dominant signifier is the mode/actor/figure that features in the main Image.

Exercise 1. Who is the dominant signifier in your CPS? GQ and the Gentle Woman?
