Structuring answer:
Intro: explain in a few words how you understand objectification. You might refer in passing to both Laura Mulvey and Kilbourne to describe the term objectification. Then use two sentences to explain how you are going to answer the question. For example ‘The use of images and narrative/storytelling in GQ and the Gentlewoman partially confirm the stereotypical/patriarchical presentation of women as objects of pleasure and of men as active lookers. However, these magazines seem to also challenge and respond to these feminist critiques by producing alternative forms of representing, understanding and promoting gender identity. Women and men who feature in front covers and interviews seem to have agency and creativity in the way they project their personality.
