Front Cover Statement of intent

For my NEA i will be creating the front cover for a newspaper called Jersey News Today, using the style model` from the newspaper ‘The i’ which will feature a story about how Tiktok is actually part-owned by a Chinese entity ByteDance, which is harvesting mass amounts of data from unsuspecting users while also mentally affecting users with its addicting infinity scroll mechanic- while linking to theory’s such as Andrew Lewis‘ theory on how “If you are not paying for the product , then you are the product”, as well as Stuart Hall’s theory on passive audiences- leading on to Habermaus‘ theory on the private and public sphere regarded how this data breach lead Tiktok to go from peoples private spheres to the public sphere.

Along with this I will be producing 3 flyers aimed towards college aged students (16-20) to raise awareness about why you should be careful how much time you spend on your phone as well as how much data you share online

My front cover will feature a large masthead reading “The Jersey Times”. Below this will be a photo of someone using the app with the title Tiktok mass mining data and brainwashing youths” below this will be the body article featuring the main story in around 250 words and will take up 1/3 of the page. Alongside this story will be 3 “plugs” referencing other stories inside the paper such as “Youths on mopeds causing havoc on Jersey roads” and “Jersey native bean crock faces extinction”

My newspaper will be aimed toward a primarily left-wing, libertarian audience by providing an unbias and unpolitical approach to reporting current events and news stories while still trying to make it interesting to engage the islanders who get bored of island life.

I will compose my articles on the blog and then add them into InDesign to arrange them, as well as use photoshop to alter images so that they are properly scaled and adjusted before adding them into Indesign.

Alongside this newspaper page I will be creating three flyers/posters to raise awareness of how modern social media apps are designed to hook the user, make them addicted and then harvest lots of their date to sell on for a profit. These flyers will include the hashtag #whatsurscreentime to encourage young people to post and open up about how much time they spend on their phones, leading to talks on how it could be a problem. I will be laying these flyers out in the style of the pages inside apples settings app as lots of young adults will be familiar will the layout thus engaging them further.

-Double Page Spread

First body of text

On the 18th of April 2022, EU regulations regarding enterprises use of the data gathered on their customers were updated as a result of continued misuse of by conglomerates, like Wonga, the payday loan company, which was hit by a huge data breach in 2017 that compromised the bank details of 250,000 customers. It is data breaches like this that bring to light these big companies lack of care for the privacy of millions of users data – which most of the time has being collected without user consent, solely for the company to sell to make a profit on.

As a result of this new legislation being implemented, many companies have been left scrambling to meet the month long deadline to get their databases in order with the new law- which includes citations such as . Not only does the new legislation contain new rules such as the amount of data companies are allowed to take on their users without validation/reason- but also includes strict new guidelines regarding the security in which said data is kept. This will be forcing thousands of companies with user bases exceeding 100,000 active users per annum to conform to the latest cyber security rules. In the cases of many of these companies, these strict new rules may come at great expense as consultations from cyber security have proven to be very expensive in the new era.

It was in March of this year when a small social media campaign started with the hashtag #whatsurscreentime, urging users to check their screen time to see which apps were suspiciously running in the background, as well as shedding light on the ways in which everyday apps harvest data from unknowing users to profit from their unethical sale and distribution. After this campaign became globalised, British MP’s were forced by excessive lobbying by the public to increase regulations regarding how companies handle users data.

This recent push for transparency among global leaders in social media led to exposure of one specific company – ByteDance. ByteDance Ltd. is a Chinese internet technology company headquartered in Beijing and incorporated in the Cayman Islands. Founded by Zhang Yiming, Liang Rubo and a team of others in 2012, ByteDance developed the video-sharing social networking services and apps TikTok and Chinese-specific counterpart Douyin. It was revealed that TikTok was ‘selling’ more than half of its database to the company- which included a lot more than is disclosed to the reader upon signing up to the platform.

Second Body of Text

This is not the first time social media giant Tiktok has been in the spotlight recently – in 2020 research into Tiktoks astronomical rates of global growth determined that a huge chunk of their recourses are allocated to finding and developing new ways to keep users swiping. This involves extensive research into the placement of buttons on the app in order to achieve the easiest user interface- a key factor in keeping the audience using for longer.

Alongside Tiktok’s addictive interface it was also found that the app has a team dedicated to researching into the algorithm used on the “For You” page of the app. This page is an endless scroll of videos that the app’s algorithm determines you will like. It has been dubbed as the most valuable digital real estate in the world. It is the core of what makes the app tik (pun intended). Every time the TikTok app is opened, notice that the user will land on the “For You” page and not its “Following” page. TikTok’s algorithm is designed to keep you coming back for more. With each video you watch, TikTok learns something about you. Within a few hours, it can detect your music tastes, sexual orientation, mental health, and sense of humour. So if you watch a video of a cute dog, TikTok will show you another pet video. This may seem harmless at first glance but it has recently proving a problem as studies have identified strong links between extensive mobile phone use and rising depression rates among teens. Upon extensive use of the platform users may find themselves getting roped into various tiktok trends and challenges, such as posting a montage of old pictures of themselves to show how they’ve changed – but this is where it becomes concerning.

Recently, TikTok made a change to its U.S. privacy policy, allowing the company to “automatically” collect new types of biometric data, including what it describes as “faceprints” and “voiceprints.” TikTok’s unclear intent, the permanence of the biometric data and potential future uses for it have caused concern among experts who say users’ security and privacy could be at risk. China is one of the most watched countries in the world, with 54 percent of the world’s cameras are located in China, which would equate to 540 million CCTV cameras as of 2021. This biometric data taken by Tiktok could be assumed many uses, the most prevailing being to build up a global database capable of recognising millions of people just by using Tiktok alone.

Tiktok doesn’t just take your biometric data- after a freedom of information request was put into Tiktok as a result of the new legislation it was found that Tiktok records your location even when you do not have the app open. However, it doesn’t stop there. Not only is Tiktok tracking your real-life activities, but they also track your online activities. Part of their impressive algorithm tracks what you do in other apps in order to narrow down the content shown to you in order to make it more personalized. This could mean tracking your search history, chats with friends, or frequently visited sites. Reports by white hat security experts (aka people who hack in order to test security boundaries and alert the public to threats) According to the outlet, their findings were verified by five independent experts. These studies contained info showing that Tikok collects more info than any other social network.

The “title” Tiktok has earned as the data harvesting kingpin has brought attention to the vulnerability of younger generations as many kids have been know to simply “not care” about the tabs being kept on them as it simply does not directly affect them

Third Body of Text

“Our integration with Tiktok is purely for the convenience of the user and TikTok’s data handling policing is not a result of our partnership/actions”

Why should I care about sharing my data?

Generation Z’s profound love for Tiktok has not only proven to be a wakeup call in regards to how excessive use social media can negatively affect your mental and physical health, but also shines light on how quick mega corporations are to exploit such a venerable generation for profit – while also creating problems such as self consciousness and unrealistic standards- but its not just large companies Alongside these personal problems that these new mediums of communication and entertainment create, there lies another problem of people simply just not caring about their privacy online- which can prove to be a problem later on for a few reasons. One being if someone gains enough information on you it can be used for exploitation. This is a particular problem on our island, because Jersey is one of the worlds most active financial hubs- making its residents extra venerable to being targeted by data harvesting and fraud. Being loose with your privacy makes you a massive target; and living in Jersey adds to those odds. According to Loop, the average person should at least be worried about the potential for identity theft.

As data from this graph made by the BIOSMR (British Institute of Social Media Research) shows TikTok has had a sudden spike in users since 2017. This has a lot of likely causes, including the covid 19 induced lockdown that lasted around 2 years between 2020 to early 2022 which left a majority of the population stuck inside with not much to do apart from scroll endlessly to waste time online. It also shows Tiktok has exceeded 1 Billion active users, making it one of only 6 platforms to gain such a large audience.

Poster Caption

Ever since Facebooks infamous data breach of Facebook’s user info which left millions of users personal information up for viewing in 2014, an unknown group has started to raise awareness among social media users in an attempt to inform the public about how much information you really give out online as well as giving warning to the younger generations about how addictive social media is.

Coursework – Double Page Body Text + Notes

The recent rapid increase in value of diesel and petrol has caused chaos across the world – in more ways than you’d think.

Riots escalating across many districts in St. Helier on Saturday led to half a dozen people suffering from severe injuries, with one offender, John Smith, being identified and arrested by police. Two additional offenders have been identified, and anyone with information is urged to contact the States of Jersey Police on 123456.

Many members of the public have become exponentially frustrated and are accusing Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as the main culprit behind the inflation. The invasion dates back over a number of years, however it became a true crisis around February 2022, with the invasion causing Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II, resulting in more than eight million Ukrainians fleeing the country and a third of the population displaced. This has led to many economic sanctions, affecting distribution of many goods with fuel taking the spotlight. This has affected various aspects of life for not only Jersey citizens, but the globalisation of fuel as a whole. The troubles of this have caused far more strict regulation on the commodification of oil and gas, and so this has naturally mitigated supply.

We spoke to a number of Jersey citizens, including Mark Jones (16) who said the price of fuel is making it “very hard for me to get around the island on my moped”. We also spoke to Lucy Parker who touched on how her family have been forced to walk exceptionally long distances to work & school, “it’s just unsustainable. The already extremely high cost of living here in Jersey is only increasing further due to petrol, and wages aren’t increasing nearly enough for us and many others to stay afloat”. This comment refers to the massive cost of living crisis surrounding masses of islanders, with the price of basic needs like food, shelter and clothing skyrocketing in the past few years. This has resulted in massive public backlash, particularly with the election of new States of Jersey members imminent.

ROAD RAGE AT LE ROCQUIER

A serious car accident between two teenagers took place at crossroads near Le Rocquier school at around 7pm last night, with one witness describing the incident as “the result of simply foolish acts”. One of the teenagers is believed to have suffered a cracked vertebrae, however there has been no formal confirmation of his injuries. A statement from the headteacher of Le Rocquier school read “We are deeply saddened by the news of this incident and we hope the people effected make a full recovery”.

a level media coursework

Statement of intent

For my a level coursework I have chosen to do brief 2. Brief 2 consists of a three page newspaper as well as three flyers to accompany. My topic I will document on is heatwaves. The front page will highlight the heatwave that hit the channel islands and the UK and the double page spread will document on the importance of looking after your animals in the summer/ summer events. These topics all correlate hence why they have been chosen. My style model is the Jersey evening post and i chose this because it is a local newspaper I am familiar with and I think the layout is ideal for what I want to create. My newspaper will target a vast audience of all ages.

My front page will follow the classic look of a formal newspaper so will feature minimal graphology. I will use my knowledge of semiotics and audience theory and incorporate it into the design product in order to show I understand how different signs, codes and conventions are used to receive a specific response from the audience and grab attention. I intend to also use my knowledge of Chomsky’s, Livingston and Lunt’s, and Laswell’s theories and ideology

Chomsky The 5 filters of the mass media machine: To produce money to cover the cost of production and distribution of Media through advertisement and sponsors.

Livingston and LuntRegulation: Argument that the interests of citizens and those of consumers cannot be easily reconciled. This suggests that there is an increasing tendency in recent UK regulation policy to place the interests of consumers above those of citizens.

Laswell Hypodermic model (passive consumption):  in which the SENDER is transferring a MESSAGE, through a MEDIUM (eg Print, radio, TV, etc) that has a direct effect on the RECEIVER. OR WHO, SAYS WHAT, THROUGH WHAT CHANNEL, TO WHOM, TO WHAT EFFECT. ————————————

A Level NEA – Brief two

Statement of Intent:

My NEA products will relate to the ‘protection of a pregnant women’s liberty to choose to have an abortion’ (Roe V Wade). This project will focus on all age groups of heterosexual women, and I have chosen this specific target audience because typically heterosexual women become pregnant through choice and sadly through some violent acts such as rape.

My NEA project can show clear links to theorists, such as Antonio Gramsci, whose theory on cultural hegemony describes the way a dominant government or ruling class establishes dominant / ruling ideas. Furthermore, my project can also link to Feminist Critical Thinking for example, Judith Butler and Laura Mulvey, the act of the establishing dominant ideas through gender.

I intend to create three unique flyers which will be printed as an A5 piece relating to abortion and female rights. For instance, I aim to create a female outline, specifically from the neck to the hips, using words that describe or relate to the Roe V Wade campaign. This will be done by warping and shaping the text to the outline. Then, at the top section, the phrase “The choice is ours to make, not yours.” with the hashtag ‘#AcceptAbortion’ in the bottom left. The colours will be a shade of purple, white and a light green. Purple will be used for the background; light green will be for the ribbon around the waist as the colour symbolises abortion and hope and white will be for the text. To add texture to my poster, a drop shadow will be added to the two ellipses on the breasts to create a 3D effect. I will then use a gradient on the left-hand text to create a shadow, as if the shape is seen from an angle.

For my newspaper I will use ‘The Guardian’ as my style model, drawing upon the colour scheme (yellow, blue, red, and white), a similar masthead, “Jersey News” in a bold white front with a blue background. Above the masthead there will be ‘plugs’ to inside stories such as the Ukraine Crisis, with a page number next to a quote. Below the masthead, in black bold font will be the title of my newspaper “Roe V Wade Overturned by Supreme Court – investigation of the crucial life decision by DC Peddlebanks. The central photograph of the front cover will be a woman in business attire to represent a governmental member. The photograph will be angled as if she is talking to another person.  The layout of my right side of my double page spread will consist of text on the bottom half of the first page with grey lines separating each paragraph for clear reading and professional look to replicate my inspiration. In the main text, there will be a quote in a red speech bubble, also in red will be the editors name with a black bold quote above with grey lines operating the two text boxes. The title will read “Outrage on the streets as abortions rights taken away- ‘Infuriating tensions’ with a picture placed above. The picture will be of the Jersey Government house in St Helier and be edited to look artistic to match the inspiration. The right page will have side stories covering the bottom half with one on the far right and a paragraph acting as the newspaper company

NEA STATEMENT OF INTENT

I am going to create two different products: a three-minute video promoting a new fictional TV programme which will be called “Crisis” and 3 print advertisements which will focus on diversity, issue raised within the programme and the genre. It will be targeted at a young adult audience and be available on Channel 4 TV and the streaming service All 4.

I will base my TV programme off the current mental health crisis that is occurring due to the effects of the pandemic as i believe it is an important issue which teenagers are interested in and in some cases can relate to. It will make clear links to some of the theories we have looked at in class such as Stuart Hall’s reception theory: I will encode the message to speak out and get help and I aim to attract the dominated reader ( where the reader will accept and understand the message) and also possibly the negotiated reader (where an audience accepts and understands some of the messages but disagrees with others). Additionally my poster work will make links to the theory of semiotics such as those dervived from CS Pierce about icon, indexical and symbolic signs which will help to create meaning in the product.

In terms of how I will create this product I will base the video off of the YouTube promotional videos for Skins. This will included having a montage of what happens in the series and use of different handheld camera techniques such as panning, medium/ close-up shots. I will also not use any dialogue but have music playing in the background because if people are watching on their phones then they might not have their volume on, which is true for the young audience. While the style model focusses on the characters mine will take more of an approach towards the setting as well as characters.

Visual branding will be shared through the logo and colour scheme to show it is a part of a unified campaign. The first poster will be based off the issue raised (being mental health) will be conveyed through the glimpse of mise-en-scene presented in polaroid like frame (images relating to a hospital). The second one will show the genre of psychological drama based on the Ladies and Gentlemen packaging design and concept which is a medication packet. For the third one i will base it off The Mean Girls film poster which has a range of diverse characters featured. It will be linked to print product theories such as subverting to the male gaze and portraying women and men as equal and their struggles being the same.

I will use Adobe Premiere to edit for the video and Adobe Photoshop to form my 3 posters.

Statement of Intent: A-Level coursework

https://japclarke11.wixsite.com/movies

For my A Level coursework NEA, I intend to create a homepage and three further pages of a film news and review site. The demographic for my media product will be both males and females in their 20s who have an enthusiastic interest in both film and film analysis.

My audience could be described as left-leaning, opinionated, and free-spirited. Emanuel H. Demby’s psychographic theory applies here, as my target audience is generally laid back with strong opinions on things relating to pop culture. The opinionated nature of my articles and their focus on gender, race, and sex will appeal to this type of demographic due to the interests of young people in the modern era. This is where my articles will link to Judith Butler’s gender theory, exploring how gender is constructed in films, and the way gender representation has changed over time.

My website will act as an opinion leader for movies using Lazarfeld’s two-step flow theory to promote their movie. Readers of my website will be more likely to watch certain movies if I have rated them highly in my reviews, because my website acts as an opinion leader for those readers. In terms of promoting my website, I will be using social media, particularly Instagram, to try and build an audience. My 8 Instagram posts will contain a link to my website, so my followers on Instagram have easy access to my reviews.

The style of my website is also incredibly important. My homepage will be aesthetically pleasing, with a dark, clean colour scheme. I will have a dark red banner stretching across the top of my website, and the background beneath it will fade slowly downwards from red to black. In the banner, I will have my website logo and name in the top left, a search bar in the middle, and my page names in the top right. My style will be bold and colourful, with a retro aesthetic. My logo is 50s star Marilyn Monroe, and the background of my banner is many icons from the 90s. Below this banner, I will have my posts where I go in-detail talking about some movies I’ve been watching. Under this, I will have a section called ‘movies I can’t stop watching’ where I will do short reviews on some of my favourite movies.

I plan to also have a page called ‘My Movie Diary’ (influenced by formats such as Letterboxd) where I log all the movies I’ve watched each month. I also include a rating out of 5 stars. Logging movies in this way gives people a greater understanding of my movie taste and increases interest among Letterboxd users who come across my website.

Finally, I will have an ‘about’ page where I explain a little bit about myself, and I will have a contact page, in case anyone needs to contact me.

My articles will review some classic movies, and talking specifically about their views on gender, race, and sexuality. This is where I am going to be further implementing feminist critical thinking, talking about feminist theories such as Laura Mulvey’s ‘Male Gaze’ theory. This aspect of my articles will likely appeal to female readers, as well as male readers, who have strong left-leaning views.

In terms of representation, I will try to talk about some lesser-known indie movies as well as big-budget mainstream movies. This will appeal to a wide range of audiences whilst also giving balanced representation. Movies which have interesting and progressive things to say about gender, race, or sex are also more likely to have articles written on them.

A level statement of intent nea

For my A-level coursework I will be exploiting multiple different key media theories such as, feminist critical thinking, post colonialism and representation for the content and main body texts of the newspaper and also using my knowledge of semiotics and audience theories incorporated into the design and layout of the product to show how i understand how different signs, codes and conventions are used to present a specific response from the audience and grab attention. Some more specific sub theories i will include are:

The 5 filters of the mass media machine: Chomsky To produce money to cover the cost of production and distribution of Media through advertisement and sponsors.

Regulation: Linvingstone and Lunt argue that the interests of citizens and those of consumers cannot be easily reconciled. This suggests that there is an increasing tendency in recent UK regulation policy to place the interests of consumers above those of citizens.

Hypodermic model (passive consumption)Lasswell 1927:  in which the SENDER is transferring a MESSAGE, through a MEDIUM (eg Print, radio, TV, etc) that has a direct effect on the RECEIVER. OR WHO, SAYS WHAT, THROUGH WHAT CHANNEL, TO WHOM, TO WHAT EFFECT. ————————————

etc, I aim to subtly use my knowledge of these theories to produce some content that takes advantage of them – and therefore can produce a product as close to the actual thing as possible

My story is surrounding civil rights throughout the paper and the different impacts it has on the people surrounded by the many different areas it affects.

I will be using two different newspapers as a style model to analyse features used by newspapers on a wider variety and incorporate fitting conventions to create a more realistic product to work with.

A level course work (nea)

For my A level coursework I am going to choose Brief 2 where I will create a front page and a double-page spread from a regional newspaper where it reports the political issues that interests my broad local audience. My story will target the local area I am trying to approach. The newspaper’s audience usually attracts what is happening around the world, equality issues and politics. For my leading story that will be on the front page and continued on the inside I would like to create a story that will interest my audience to want to read more. My leading story will be about the issues of covid and its impact on society, my pages will feature different layouts and design features but will be recognisable towards the same publication through the application of a house style that is common across all pages.

As I will be talking about the impact on covid and how it has changed from time and how covid may reaching out again. My key theorists will be Curran and Seaton, that is about the effects on media content and Livingstone and Lunt where the global nature of the net and the volume of material uploaded make effective regulation very difficult. New technology might open up the media to democratising forces and the development of new communities, but it is also open to potential abuse. I would like to share the news to my audience about how covid made a huge impact in people’s lives and still is. This will include how covid has impacted in many jobs such as actors and news reporters. This is because some Jobs have had difficulty in maintaining social distancing, therefore struggling to earn their royalties. I will also talk about the death rate still raising till this day. Although covid hasn’t been forgotten recently, it still does exist. It is possible to say that it has been predicted that we will have another strong force of covid impacting the world again where it will be more dangerous than it was before, however it hasn’t hit yet.

I would like to present my front page with a strong title so that my audience knows who it targets and creates the impact towards society. I will follow the style of the daily mail as I think it has a good layout of text and pictures. My style model for the double page will also include the same topic but with supplementary reports linked to the main story. This clarifying, stories to do with the queen and politics that could potentially link to covid. I will most likely talk about the queen getting covid as she was very old and family members and the public where getting very worried on my double page spread.

Overall, I want the public to know the impacts on covid and make sure they are up to date in the latest news of covid as it hasn’t been spoken about much recently as it is quite hard to get it now as many people in the world have caught it before.

Product 2:

Statement of Intent:

I will be making a gaming website based around Rust the video game

My website will give a reactionary (as opposed to radical) representation of a gaming web site. In other words, I will produce a site for my audience of experienced or starting-up gamers with a website that follows generic media codes used within the industry and I want to follow these dominant codes in my product. In that sense I am following the ideas put forward by Steve Neale who writes about audience expectations – that audience want ‘familiarity’ (ie the same thing) but with some ‘difference’ or slight changes.

As such, I am going to have a horizonal menu on the website to navigate through all pages. Below the header I am going to credit myself and all social media links will be in the footer. I am going to make sure I have a clear house style across all pages with some being slightly different.

To construct the site I am going to be using Notepad as my text editor and to make the visuals for the website, I will be using OBS on my PC for all footage and recordings of the game and using Premiere Pro to edit the footage together. The footage will include animations at the start of every video to make it consistent and I will use cuts throughout the video as well as speed up parts to keep the audience engaged with the video. I have also made sure to make the videos short and helpful so the audience doesn’t click off.

My style model is (https://www.rustafied.com/). Therefore, my website will be dark but modern. My style model has all the important information such as the title, logo, and menu at the top I will follow this idea. My style model also only uses one type of font, I will follow this but use a different font type. The website also has images below every body text, but I will adapt this and put the images below the heading so that the audience has a clear idea of what they are going to read. The website also has multiple links going to other websites within the body text, I will do this too. The websites colour pallet consists of white, gray and black, I will follow this too but use the colours white, dark gray and light gray. It will follow conventional audience expectations of a gaming blog site.

In terms of theory, my website will follow Katz and Gurevitch & Hass’s theory where they talk about uses and gratification, the first idea will be that the audience is seeking information and facts about the video game Rust. The next idea will reinforce the audiences own values and beliefs, the website will have facts about the game which may reinforce their own beliefs and idea’s of the game. The third website is about personal relationships where the media will create a relationship with the audience this is done through the images I will be using on my website of the game. Finally, diversion, my website will provide a sense of escapism as its based on fiction, however you can relate the game to real life scenarios and that is what I will do with my website.

For my second product I will be making a 3 minute gaming video on my selected video game, Rust, I will be doing a challenge video of whereby I have people from across North and South America compete in a tournament where the goal is to win by killing the other players in the tournament, the tournament will be done in rounds whereby everyone will fight everyone once until the last 2 with the highest wins will fight each other for the final match where the prize is Rust Skins which has a real life value to them in money. I will be interviewing all of the contestants with 3 people competing for the prizes. I will then use a range of shots to capture what is happening in the video game.

To construct the challenge video I will be using OBS (Open Broadcasting Software) to record what is happening on my screen and then using Premiere Pro for cutting up and manging audio levels for the video and then After Effects to apply that VFX needed. I will be publishing it on YouTube for anyone to see it. In my video I will be using an opening shot of scenery in the game to show the audience that the game I am playing is the same game I used in the title of my video. I am then going to interview them one by one in-game, with transitioning to the next question by using a light leak transition. I am going to be playing music in the background of all of this to kill the silence and engage the viewer into the video with certain genres fitting certain scenes of the video. For example I will be using an upbeat rhythm song for the part of where the contestants fight each other, as the game is intense due to the cash prize, so I am going to pick music to match the mood. In the video I am going to use a birds eye view whereby I am looking down on the contestants to get a full view of what’s happening. Throughout the video I will use a black and white filter to show what is either coming up, or what has happened, I will follow it up with dialogue or a voice over to back it up.

My style model for the video will be Konfuzion and the video I will be using is

In terms of theory for my video the video covers globalisation as it features people from North and South America, the target audience who will be watching my video will be global as well as it is on YouTube where anyone from anywhere can watch the video.
