cinematography task
Moonlight first response
personally i thought the film, was pretty good, it had some amazing cinematography, which i thought was the main part of the film, however i also found the film a little directionless, and sort of just throws characters in without warning. i would give it a 7 out of 10.
my favourite scene was probably the scene with the chair attack, because it was built up very well, and then was a nice relief of tension.
cinematography
cinematography is the art and also the technology of photography for film, involving things such as composition, as well as lighting, location, etc.
cinematographer is the person who presides over the camera and light crews in a film, and are responsible for the filming of the scene
the difference between a director and cinematographer is that a director oversees and gets the final approval, the director overviews the overall composition and how it fits into the final film, as well as overviews the whole production whereas the cinematographer mainly takes care of the technical side and the camera
Monacco hw
By the term the spectrum of the arts, monacco sees different arts in different ways, he sees the arts as if they are on a spectrum, ranging from practical to musical, and then different arts fit into different categories. The spectrum of the arts it’s a way to visualise how different types of art fit into and reflect our society in different ways. For example there is the performance arts, which happen in real time. There is the representational arts which rely on established codes and conventions of language. And there is the recording arts, which form a more direct path between subject and observer. However he also talks about one of the oldest theories of art which is the spectrum of abstraction. The spectrum represents how art imitates reality through a medium, and how different types of arts fit into different mediums. There is practical, with things such as architecture in it, then there is environmental, followed by pictorial with things like painting and graphics in it. Next is dramatic with stage drama in it, followed by narrative with novels and stories fitting into it. Then lastly there is musical which obviously contains music but also partly poetry.
Joker- first response
I would give the film a very respectable 9/10
Id say the most memorable scene was the scene in the tv studio, where joker kills Murray, this was incredibly well acted, and the music added to the pure intensity of the scene, as we see Joker gradually get angrier until it came to a stunning twist, where he finally completely snaps, and ends up killing Murray.
