Bonnie and Clyde Aesthetics

realism:

The films is closely accurate towards the great depression era of the film. With a rural rundown setting and the struggles of the everyday people playing an important role within the narrative. However With the main characters verisimilitude is messed with a bit having them wear expensive fashionable clothing as well as plot points being exaggerated for entertainment example being the action scenes.

tone:

Bonne and Clyde is a mostly upbeat and suspenseful film with the fast paced action scenes. Has an adventurous and exciting feeling to it as they travel to unknown areas doing criminal activities not previously seen in movies at the time before French new wave.

Visual style:

This film was inspired by the French new wave movement taking many of its visual elements with editing in particular breaking the norm of old Hollywood with an example being the rapid shots used in many scenes like when they are shot dead in the ending.
