Cinematography in moonlight (activity 1)

diegetic – in this frame, the audience is forced to focus on Littles facial expression as he is disappointed and scared of his mother, this creates a connection between Littles character and the audience as they sympathise with him.

Intra diegetic – In this frame you are put in the shoes of Littles character with all the boys looking at him and surrounding him, this makes you see what he sees from his viewpoint feeling the intimidation he’s feeling.

Extra diegetic – Kevins character looking directly at the camera aids to break the 4th wall as it seems he’s looking directly at the audience, it brings a more intimate feel. his expression catches the viewer off guard as the idea they had previously been presented with of his character now changes with just one look.
