In conclusion, i believe i have done well in this project for being new to photography, i learned how to use photoshop and light room classic to improve and edit my photos, i have enjoyed the process of taking, editing and creating photomontages. However there are still areas i need to improve on, i need to take more images so i have a wider selection to choose from when i do the final selection and to create more edits and montages to show my capability of editing images, in future projects i will apply my knowledge what i should do and learn from the mistakes i have made on this first project. I have linked all the knowledge i have been taught in the first term to create the project and i am pleased with the outcome, however i know there are areas i need to improve on but they will develop over time.

Still life best images
I have picked this photo as one of my best photograph because i like the simplicity of the background, the warmth of the light, i also like the clarity of the ridges on the rock and the placement of the objects.
This image has been selected because of how the objects look effortlessly placed, but at the same time it looks put together, i used continuous light which then started to limit the shadows.
This photo is one of my favourites due to the use of the coloured film over the top of the continuous light causing a sunset feel to the photo.
This photo was a photo i didn’t really like due to the colour of the lighting and how warm the out come was so i used Lightroom classic to edit the photo i make the shadows darker giving the photo a colder feel.
My virtual gallery
I have created a virtual photo gallery using my favourite photos i have taken so far.
I used photoshop to place the images onto the original photo. I lined up the photos to the original photo frame, i then right clicked the image, pressed skew and moved the photo so it then fit the frame i used this process for each photo until the gallery was full.
I a lined the photo into the frame and then you make the photo the size you need to fit in the frame, if the frame is on a angle you need to use skew to create the illusion that the photo is on a angle.
MARY ELLEN-BARTLEY INSPIRED EXPERIMENTS
Mary Ellen Bartley is known for her photographs exploring the tactile and formal qualities of the printed book, and its potential for abstraction.
Bartleys photo shoot was during covid after she had to get the last flight back to New York after being in Italy. Her photos consisted of every day household objects which she changed the position of every day.

photomontage
- A photomontage is a collage constructed from photographs.
- Historically, the technique has been used to make political statements and gained popularity in the early 20th century (World War 1-World War 2)
- Artists such as Raoul Haussman , Hannah Hoch, John Heartfield employed cut-n-paste techniques as a form of propaganda…as did Soviet artists like Aleksander Rodchenko and El Lissitsky
- Photomontage has its roots in Dadaism…which is closely related to Surrrealism.
These photomontage’s have been created by using other photos.
My Response
I edited these photos using photoshop, with the first montage i used a page of a book and turned the opacity down on it the get the ilusion of the image being overlayed by a book, i also added the statue onto the lampshade and the lady diving i added this to give the audience more to look at it also makes the images more eye-catching.
For the second image i used photoshop and light-room to create this final piece, i used light-room to convert one layer into black and white, and the other layer into a blue tint and add a highlight behind the clock. I then used photoshop to cut sections out of the black and white image and placing it onto the coloured one.

New Objectivity
The New Objectivity was a movement in German art that arose during the 1920s as a reaction against expressionism. The New Objectivity was trying to challenge a return to unsentimental reality and a focus on the objective world, as opposed to the more abstract, romantic, or idealistic tendencies of Expressionism.
My Photos
These photos i tool at home and in the photo studio i have edited the photo of the fire place to make it more eye catching and appealing to the audience, the photo of the jewellery box and jewellery i took in the studio using flash lighting.
