Investigate historical, social and cultural origins of why people from Portugal and Madeira came to live and work in Jersey. Why are they so hard working? peasant culture, manual labor, lack of education, career opportunities. As you begin to make images I want you to extend study beyond your parents and look at specific sectors in general, e.g. manual labor, construction, agriculture, cleaning, service industries and begin to photograph your parents and work colleagues. This study has potential to be really important to understand how Portugese people contributes to local economy etc.
