Who really benefits from a digitally networked society? Big business or individuals? Refer to ‘loop theory’ and the ‘Dunbar number’

In my opinion business’ benefit massively in digital media because of their ability to gather data and information whereas with printed media exact details can’t be gathered. Companies use the loop theory to gather information and data and produce content that we have been previously interested into to create more profit. Consumers argue that we have endless escapism and freedom on the internet but according to the Dunbar the maximum relationships humans can have is 150 with an average of 5 or 6 so you could argue that we don’t gain as much compared to companies
