This Is England – First Response

I really enjoyed this film and thought it was a very interesting watch which provided a good view into the time period. I would rate the film 8.5/10

This scene really stuck out to me for multiple reasons, like the violence and the face of shock from the shopkeeper after Shaun calls him the racial slur. The scene rolls out quite fast and really shows the anarchist and racist views of the group with Shaun tagging along.

This scene shows how Shaun is being used by Combo and everyone else to get them stuff and that they are trying to teach him to disrespect immigrants and other races whilst he is young.

At one point combo storms in and pulls out a machete. The use of a knife-like bladed weapon shows the stereotypical idea of the extreme knife crime in England.
