Explain why the number of cinema screens has declined over the years what are the implications for the film industry in general?

The number of cinema screens has declined due to cinema becoming less popular over the years. Because cinema was popular during the “Golden age” of it there were more screens, but as time passed the popularity of cinema has decreased massively. The rise of streaming services has also contributed to this decline of turnout in theatres.
