A “needle drop” is used in the film industry to describe when a pre-existing song is used in a movie. The audio and video become intertwined to the point where people can’t disassociate the song from the film

J cut VS L CUT
A J cut is a variant of a split edit film editing technique in which the audio from a following scene overlaps the picture from the preceding scene, so that the audio portion of the later scene starts playing before its picture as a lead-in to the visual cut.
An L cut is a variant of a split edit film editing technique in which the audio from preceding scene overlaps the picture from the following scene, so that the audio cuts after the picture, and continues playing over the beginning of the next scene.

HOw to make a successful Film?
A successful film is one that makes an impact on todays society, typically is one that is suitable for all ages and the vast majority are part of a franchise that are all well known that all have a high standard and that the audience know what to expect from them.

One Point Perspective- One-point perspective is a way of crafting cinematic shots with near-perfect symmetry. The composition of these shots draws the viewer’s eye to a specific focal point within the frame, absorbing them into the dimension of the shot and manipulating the experience by telling them exactly where to look
Symmetry- Symmetry refers to material being organized in such a way that it conveys a sense of unity through the repetition of one or more elements.
Deep Focus -In filmmaking, deep focus refers to a technique where all elements of an image—foreground, middleground, and background—are all in sharp focus.
Steadicam Tracking Shots- In cinematography, a tracking shot is any shot in which the camera physically moves sideways, forward, or backward through the scene. Tracking shots usually last longer than other shots, follow one or more moving subjects, and immerse the audience in a particular setting
First group shoot reflection
What Didn’t Go Well? In our shoot when I looked back at the footage I noticed that the camerawork was a bit shaky which distracted me from the rest of the action. We were unprepared for where we were going to shoot so we spent some time looking for a place to film.
What Went Well? We managed to shoot everything that we wanted to shoot and the acting was more than adequate, we also managed to shoot many different styles of filming.
What Are You Going To Do Next Time? Next time I will make sure that we are more prepared and know how to use the camera, we will book out specific rooms.
