Reflection of creative work – C. Reflection on collaboration in the core production team (8 marks )
After we all finished with the filming process and checked to see if the shots that we got were corrected and what we wanted, we shared the shot with each other so that we could each edit the same video, with our own personal touches.
This is my final edited sequence. The adjustment layer on top of the sequence is for “black bars” on top of the video to make it seem more cinematic and film like.
Whilst editing our sequence I came across a few mistakes and possible problems with the shots that we took, however there was a few things that I did like and I cam going to explain why. Firstly I think that our overall communication during the filming process was really good and that if anybody had something else to include or perhaps a different idea, we would all think about it and try it out so that we could see what actually looked best with the screenplay. To add I think that our screenplay selection was good as we mainly thought about the location and what resources we already had.
However, we I did personally find some faults and mistakes that could have been changed. To begin I noticed that the screenplay we chose had very little dialogue which I personally think made the scene more confusing to watch as there was no descriptive dialogue to explain what was happening. Another thing I noticed was that the clips we got didn’t smoothly transition between each other even with editing, what I mean by this is that the shot we got might have been from the wrong angle or specific hand movements or placements might not have matched the shot before it, which doesn’t look good if noticed. A way we could have fixed this issue at the time is to have someone focusing on the movements or me as the director to completely plain what movement are where. Another way we could have fixed this is by pausing while completing an action so that the cameraman could move to another location without making the actual scene change.

Justification of Creative Work/Pre Production
Justification of creative work in one chosen film production role (8 marks ) INQUIRY The post on why you chose the screenplay you worked on.
In our screen play my group attempted to re create the phone scene from the “Wolf of Wall Street” when Jordan single handed gets an investment using sales techniques to create money for the company with our twist on it with less swearing at a low budget. We will purposefully cross the line to shake up the audience using cinematography just like the secondary characters who are shocked in the background after they make an investment. We will film inside a cramped office to replicate the amount of space available in their business with the shear scale of their enterprise. In the beginning of the short clip we aim to glorify the main character by watching his movements and seeing an extra move out of the way for him as he leaves the lift which shows power and dominance. As a group (me, Cianan and Bradley) decided that Brad would be the best to play Leonardo Di Caprio as he has acting experience and would be able to re create the required accent of an American. I then played the director creating ideas such as the lift shot and changing the angle. Cianan then acted as cinematographer using different angles in the confined spaces and using chairs as a steady cam. To keep this film family friendly we want to change some of the script to remove swear words and make some alterations to the script so we can keep the scene within a one minute timeline or anything suitable.
Dr Meredith Belbin and his team discovered that there are clusters of behaviour – these were called ‘ Belbin Team Roles’ (see descriptions below).
Each team needs access to each of the nine Belbin Team Role behaviours to become a high performing team. However, this doesn’t mean that every team requires nine people! Most people will have two or three Belbin Team Roles that they are most comfortable with, and this can change over time. Each Belbin Team Role has its strengths and weaknesses, and each has equal importance.
TASK – Undertake the Belbin Self-Perception Inventory (handout) in order to uncover where your team-working strengths and challenges lie. Make a blog post identifying your Belbin role type and mention how it may impact on your ability to perform a group task both negatively and positively.
However, not all are always required at the same time.
TASK – look at the team objectives for the presentation task and work out what roles need to be undertaken.
Once this has been done, discussions can take place regarding which and when each Belbin Team Role behaviour should be utilised in order to divide up the work effectively.
Now make a blog post detailing who is going to do what and why.
