Historically significant films                             

Battleship Potemkin (1925) directed by Sergei  Einstein. I would class tis film as a historically significant film because it changed how films are made.

The Seventh Samurai (1954) directed by Akira Kurosawa. I believe this is a historically significant film because the story has served as inspiration for many great films.

The Wizard of Oz (1939) directed by Victor Fleming.

Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) directed by Sergio Leone
